Short Stories

“The mystical life is at the centre of all that I do

and all that I think and all that I write.”
WB Yeats

I fell in love with Yeats long ago in my distant youth, and while other, more tangible loves have come and gone, his words remain faithfully in my heart, captivating it utterly. His poetry stirs me at my core. Although I will never attain his exquisite mastery of the written word, he remains an inspiration and a kindred spirit, for the mystical life is also the centre of all that I do, and all that I think and all that I write.

The stories I share on these pages simply cannot help themselves. They are messages from my soul, voices that demand to be heard, and I am merely their scribe. Sometimes their meaning is only clear when my work is done and I look back at passages I can barely remember committing to paper. I share them here because they were never meant to be mine alone.

  1. That was so beautiful, I have tears in my eyes. I would so like to re blog this so I can share it with my followers but I can’t see a re blog button anywhere? That was so touching and a lesson to us all not to judge others so quickly. Truly beautiful. Su x

  2. Hi and thank you again for your beautiful words. I’m still figuring out this blogging thing so will have a look now and work out how to add a re-blog button. I’ll let you know when I have it done and you’re more than welcome to blog anything of mine that you’d like to. Love and light.
